The VPE editing system interfaces to the Yamaha 03D Digital Audio Mixer with a single RS-422 control cable and 03D serial protocol. PLEASE NOTE: There is a problem with audio Channel 3 & 4 dissolves using the O3D mixer under serial control. If you try to do a dissolve with only channel 3 or 4, or 3 & 4, it will do a cut instead. If your dissolve includes either or both channels 1 and/or 2, it will dissolve just fine. We have confirmed this problem in our lab and believe that Super Edit is sending the correct commands. We are in the process of contacting Yamaha regarding this issue and will post updated information when we have a resolution or more information.
